Lavender Fields

in Prineville Oregon

At the foothills of the Ochoco’s, Sun Life Farm and Ranch gives new life to the fields of its 160 acre paradise with abundant varieties of lush Lavender plants. During the growing season, expect to see multiple opportunities to visit the farm for the experience of Central Oregon diverse growing culture.

Scenic views, you pick days, ranch hikes and educational opportunities await on our family friendly farm. The season is capped off with our very own BootahFest celebration. An event you won’t want to miss.

Our Lavender Fields

When we purchased the property and named it Sun Life Farm and Ranch, we envisioned our primary crop to be lavender. It was our goal from the time we started looking.

This property spoke volumes to us. We could envision starting with our 8000 plants and growing it outwardly from there.

Our first five acres will support the June 2020 planting. We cover cropped more acreage, set to expand each year.

Our Products

Our first year only growth will still yield us plenty of opportunity to offer products out for sale. We will have some U-Pick events, in addition to oils, hydrosol, lotions, dried arrangements and buds.

We also fill products for our Texas market place, where our lavender is a key ingredient in one of their more popular bug deterrents.

Our convenient online store will continue to have incredible products added as we grow.

BOOTAHFEST 2021

In farming, “Boot Stage” is known as a level that determines it’s time for first cutting. For us, we gauge the the same for our lavender plants, plus we just simply LOVE boots!

BOOTAHFEST, is our celebration for fall harvest of Ochoco Lavender. A two weekend agri-tourism event, we anticipate a positive experience for all who attend. Music, food, crafts, boots, hiking and of course, Lavender.

Get To Know Us Better

Meet Amy and Jeff of Sun Life Farm and Ranch. We moved to Prineville with a vision of starting a farm and ranch that encompasses everything that is dear to us. Cultivating crops that feed horses, help promote healing alternatives and providing a haven for animal care. Most importantly to us is in that we want to share the experience with all the friends and business associates we make along the way.
